Re: I appreciate the info, however............

Ok, here you go:....best "buy" of the day was $600 for Buffalo 4630 6R-36 cultivator. It sold just before the tractor row and that JD 8100. I think folks in the crowd were already thinking "TRACTORS" as this cultivator sold.

Re: Thanks for the reply............

No such thing as low prices anymore for engine driven equipment. Everyone has too much money.

Guess just weren't any what you'd call "bargains" on tractors or combine at the Bellwood, NE auction Thursday. How about this one: 1997 Gleaner R62 combine with 1,758 engine hours......$95,500. I'll be posting Youtube video of this R62 as it sold on the auction later today. What I try to do when reporting all this sale price data is give it a frame of reference.....just kind the reality that lately values have been going up. Here's list of (66) Gleaner R62's I've seen sold at auction going back 15 years:

So you can just kind of see how values on nice ones have been going UP. But you are 100% correct, there are definitely pieces of equipment that sell somewhat "soft" on nearly every auction. Yesterday on the Inwood, IA farm auction I covered, a 2005 JD 6220 2WD tractor with only 570 hours (open station) sold for $22,000. Thought it may have gone higher......but then again a JD 230 disk (25.5', black cone blades) sold for $7,100 on yesterday's auction...that's the HIGHEST auction sale price I've ever seen in the U.S. for a JD 230 Disk. Here's link to our Facebook page with a pic and more info on JD 230 Disks:  http://www.facebook.com/pages/Machinery-Pete/293067298117?ref=ts

Bargains are out there, but need patienece and also VERY good grasp of current values, which is challenging as "current" values are changing (going UP).
