2 speed add on box for pickups
I am looking for a source for a 2 speed box to add on to my pkup, to reduce the rear axle speed, anybody heard of one? thanks Milton.

I haven't heard of one in a long time. Back when I was a little kid I remember people talking about a deal it was an electric box thing that went on your drive shaft some where, kinda like an over under drive type thing.

Have you looked at GearVendors? They are pricey and fit behind the trans pobably not what you want.

Depends on the brand of pickup, drive train, and wether or not it is 4x4. If it is domestic and 4x4, then there are options. Gear vendors is an option. Find Peterson's Four Wheel and Off Road either online, or back issues in your library. When I was getting the mag, it seemed every month or two ther was another new way to achieve this. Most were high dollar like the Atlas II, but several wheelers have stacked transfer cases one behind the other to achieve lower ratios. Then all you need is a junkyard transfer case, a few adapter plates and new driveshafts.
