7150 injector pump leak help?

We have a leak on the injector pump DENSO model 04M0110 between the two fuel lines just below the back injector line. It is a bolt with a slot for a flat screwdriver or it can be tightened with a  wrench. It is tight so no easy fix. Is it safe to remove? We don't want to take the whole pump off for repair! That is what the repair shop suggested! Thanks for any help.

I think I`d spend a few bucks and have a Case IH serviceman come out.  Taking pumps off isn`t a big deal on older stuff, you just have to make sure the engine and the pump are timed correctly and that includes not half out of time which can fool you.   But the Case IH guy could tighten or if have to, remove the pump easily.

Re: 7150 injector pump leak help?

the first couple of vendors we talked to either said bring in the tractor- (30 mlies), pay for a service call and they would remove the injector pump and repair it, or we could remove the pump and take it in for service. We finally found someone who said it was likely a worn washer on the plug. they did not know which size because there were two possibilities so we we bought two $2.00 washers- Leak fixed.
