9450 combine

Have a chance at a 9450 combine.  Presently running 6620 6 row 30 at about 2.5-2.8 MPH. What can I expect. Also running a 15 Ft bean header at about 3.2 what will the difference be.

Also were there any issues that seemed to follow that model.

Re: 9450 combine

I had both a 6620 and then a 9450 the is quite a bit more combine than the 6620 we ran a 5 row corn head and a 22' platform on both combines

Re: 9450 combine

and as far as issues I didn,t keep the 9450 long when grain price went up started planting more grain and had to have a bigger combine got a 9650  and have had some electrical problems with it I would think the 9450 would be the same.  When all these electric components get some age on them they cause problems and the 6620 didn't have now where near the electric stuff on it.

Re: 9450 combine

What kind of ground speeds did you get with your headers

Thanks,

Re: 9450 combine

My 9400 (with the small engine) runs 3.5 - 4 mph in 200 bu corn with a 643 (6 row 30").  I don't unload on the go, have a whopper-topper on the grain tank, or have steep hills.  I don't notice any power problems.  The 9450 is two design iterations newer and has more torque and HP so it should be even better.  Haven't heard of many problems with the 50 series walker combines.
