CIH 2577
We are considering trading up to a 2577 combine & a new flex head. Since CIH no longer makes a 1020 head, we would be forced to go to a 2020. Has anyone had any experience hooking up the newer style head to an older style combine? I know that there is an adaptor available, but, I hve heard that you have to tip the face frame differently than you do for a 1020? Thanks for the help!

Re: CIH 2577
I iknow there is an adapter to go from the 1020 head to the 5088, 6088 and 7088 combines but not sure about the 2020 going back to the 2577. 2020 I believe has a wider feeder house area than than the 2577

Re: CIH 2577
I haven't heard enough positive things about the 2020 to risk owning one, for every person that likes them there are 5 who hate them. If your looking at new flex heads consider a Harvestmore, this was our 6th season with one and we've been very happy with it.

Re: CIH 2577
I think Case still makes the 1020, but will soon discontinue the 1020 in the near future. I bought a new 1020 this past fall and I had a choice of four locations near me with new 1020's sitting on lots waiting to be sold. I bought my 1020 from local Titan dealer. There are still new 1020's sitting around on a few scattered dealer's lots.

Re: CIH 2577
If no 1020's are still around I would look into the new 3020 that uses a floor like the 1020 used to. As for an adapter I think the one they used to adapt the 2200 series corn heads to the 23 and 25 series combines would work, if not I believe bish makes an adapter.
