the reason they use the ground for switching is to protect the computer modules against voltage spikes but what the genius engineers forgot was the grounding points can go bad and the circuit will "search" for a new place to go. that is the gremlin. i have spent a fortune on a 2007 volvo semi tractor taking it to numerous dealerships to supposedly fix it and the wiring finally broke in two where the problem was and was repaired and knock on wood-no problem since

  Anything is possible I guess.  Especially if it was being used and something weird happened like a wire shorting or something.  What was funny is that always happened sitting still in the shed.
