Case Ih sb541 baler twine placement

We are having a problem with our blaer not getting the twine in the correct place on the bale on the right side.  So, when the bale ties the twine seems to sit too close to the edge of the bale, and slip off easily.  This seems worse in light straw.  Now, here the part we here are having a disagreement with.  I believe it is a tension/flow problem.  Does better with heavy straw flow and tighter bales.  My father thinks it is a baler problem.  The baler is 2 years old, with probably 25,000 bales on it.  Never had a problem till this past year.  We have not had it through the dealership, trying to see if we can figure it out first.  This only happens to the string closest to the pickup, and only about half the time.  Any suggestions?

Your owners manual should have a troubling shooting section in it that could be helpful.

Maybe you don't have the tension equal on both sides.

The manual doesn't really cover this.  It does however, say something about bale formation and if you need more on one side or the other and we tried it's recommendations.  The twine tension does sound like it could have something to do with it.  We will have to check this over when we do maintenence on it before use.
