Choice of discs

I am looking at discs.  It will be used on soybean stubble as a primary tillage tool either fall or spring or both to be followed with a field cultivator.  I am doing this as a way to eliminate 1 spraying and to control marestail.  I have looked at several IH 496's.  Since the Deere dealer is closest I would rather stick with green.  I found a model 630 Deere disc several thousand dollars cheaper than a comparable IH.  I know the 637's are a good disc but have no knowledge of the 630 models.  Does anybody know how the 630 compares to either the IH 496 or 490 models?

Re: Choice of discs

Know nothing about the newer JD discs. Most in my area have green tractors and CaseIH discs.  Patrick
