Comments on spiked wheel closers for john Deere planters am thinking about those made by shoup MFG

I will using these in no-till corn on corn in Minnesota some time the soil is wet at planting

Don't have any experience with them, everyone around here is using Martin
You gonna run double spikes, or one spike - one rubber,
if running one rubber, make sure you get the 15'' wheel

I have been running One 15" Shoup spike wheel and one rubber tire, with a drag chain behind for several years and get along well in no-till and strip-till.  Patrick

What you will find is that the spikes will be great in the wetter areas and poorer in the very dry areas.

As soil dries, some can move seed. But, everyone seems to get along fine w he ones shoup has
