Farmall cub question

Anyone know if cylinders are sleeved on a late 40's cub. Also any links to Farmall repair/restore sites would be great.

Re: Farmall cub question

edit: Having a V-8 moment.  I forgot to include http://www.redpowermagazine.com/ in my list of resources.

One excellent source for both info and parts is http://www.ytmag.com/

We bought a wiring harness from http://www.oemtractorparts.com and were very pleased.

Oh, to answer your question about sleeves, I'm not sure.  However I know the B did and you can buy sleeves for a B.  Looking at YT Mag's parts listing (http://www.ytmag.com/cgi-bin/store/model_parts.cgi?SearchArea=IH&&md=Cub&cat=Engine%20Pistons%20and%...) I see no mention of sleeves.

I would suggest getting an I&T Manual http://www.ytmag.com/IH8_8147.htm

Cub - For models through 1956 (Up to Ser # 198230) I&T Aftermarket Shop Repair Manual, 88 Pages - Printed in the USA.

I&T SHOP SERVICE MANUALS provide comprehensive service and repair instructions for the shop or the experienced mechanic. Detailed specifications and an easy-to-follow format help with all of your service needs on most older models of farm tractors -- even models 60 years old.(Part No: IH-8)

Re: Farmall cub question

Wasn't sure I&t went back that far. Thanks, looks like I've got some reading to do. Never done any kind of restore work. Dad bought the tractor in early eighties to cultivate tobacco. I started doing the job when I was about ten years old. It has been setting since we quite raising tobacco in the late 90's.
