HP needed for CaseIH 5500 soybean drill
Can anyone tell me what the horsepower requirements are for a 30' CaseIH 5500 soybean drill? This would be used on worked ground. Would a 7110 CIH with about 150 hp 2WD handle it?

You would think that might be enough tractor...but I'm thinking it might be deceiving if you have any hillsides to climb. The 7110 might not be quite as heavy as the bigger tractors...and 2 wheel drive on that tractor is going to make having good tires mandatory. I guess if it was me, I'd give it a go, but wouldn't be surprised if I had to look for more ponies and traction later on.
