JD 4850 to JD8400T

My son wants to trade our 4850 in on a 8400T . Are the 8400T's a good tractor ? not very many in our area . What do we need to look for?

I'd be concerned about the tracks. John Deere had problems with the early ones. Otherwise mechanical wise they were a good tractor

What do you want to do with it would be my question.  I've run both Cats and JD T's large and small in all kind of conditions never owning one... yet.

I wouldnt make that trade, those track tractors beat a guy to death, Im a red guy but I've also heard those 50 series deeres are great and got a lot of snort.
