Re: JD no till drills

I replaced my JD750 with a JD1590 -- it works a lot better than the JD750 for heavy residue and 190 to 200+  yields and heavy residue

I'm going by what a friend told me as I have never owned a Deere drill.  The 750 and 1590 are the better drills.  I think it was something about the angle of the opener on the 1560 that made them undesireable.  Maybe that's why that model wasn't made very long.

Re: JD no till drills

The 60-series had a poorly designed seed boot, and seed placement was poor.  90-series fixed that.  Once the boots are upgraded, the 60-series performs just like the 90-series (and just like the 50-series).  60-series didn't have grease zerks for the firming and closing pivot points, which causes problems.
