John Deere's new model numbers meaning

I know what the E stands for=electric; The T stands for=tracks. But what do the other letters mean?

Thanks

Re: John Deere's new model numbers meaning

I had not seen an "e" yet, but don't pay too much attention. Here is all I know from when they debuted a couple years ago: the first # is the series the next 3 #'s are hp. Then it has a letter for what type of tractor it is. "r" is row crop with wheels. So "8270R" is 8000 series with 270hp and wheels. I'm not sure how many different hp models are in each series now?

I'm still a little partial to the old #'s. 4---. I knew what those were.
