Seed handling equipment, seed caddy question.

Jump to solution

My question about  a Yetter Seed Jet didn't get any response over in Crop Talk, so maybe I'll try it here.

I plant with a JD 7200 twelve row and I want to get a bulk handling system to load the planter.  I've been looking at the Yetter Seed Jet II but I don't have any experience with using an pneumatic system.

Has anyone used one of these systems and can you tell me what you think?  I kinda like the idea of the flexible hose because then you don't have to align the planter with caddy so carefully.  Just get close enough and go, but dragging around a hose with deceleration funnel has it's own drawbacks.

So, who uses what system and how do you like it?

Lack of responses might say a lot about the participation here but there have been 128 views.

Maybe lack of response says something about the popularity of the Yetter Seed Jet.............. just saying......?

We bought two used Bulk air seed trailers many years ago and they have a similar air delivery system.... I have replaced the motors and tubing both since.

Used them for wheat, corn and beans  and several different planters.

They work fine and do very little damage to seed.  The original Kohler motors were great but were stolen and I replaced them with Hondas.  So lets say kohler must be more desireable among felons.

We still use them occasionally.  and a good value used.
