Spray nozzles
Anyone using the Hypro brand spray nozzles? My equipment dealer is really talking them up. Thought I would quiz a few of you guys about them. How are they compared to Tee-Jet?

Re: Spray nozzles
I use them on my pull type sprayer, we have had good luck with them. They only struggle when you really pour on the atrazine. But for the most part they work well.

Re: Spray nozzles
What do you mean pour on the atrazine? That is a product I use a lot. Generally I apply 1#/acre at the 10GPA rate. Would you consider this pouring it on?

Re: Spray nozzles
Yeah when we start going to 1 lb or 1.5 lbs we have to stop and blow them out every once in a while. But I just went and bought more of them last week, I think they are better than the Tee jets we had been using.

Re: Spray nozzles
Do you run individual screens on each tip?

Re: Spray nozzles
Hey Cowman -- just wondering why you like the hypros over the tee-jets .
Thanks
Shaggy , are you going with the AI tips ?
When I am useing Atrex , I have a hundred gallon clean water tank on my sprayer , If I will have to wait for tender truck to show up i will blow out the booms , and every evening , this saves alot of time on pluged up tips .
Also Shag , I have in line filters for each section instead of screens for each tip , I just love them .

Re: Spray nozzles
Haven't bought anything yet. I went to buy the AI tips and they threw the Hypro pitch at me. Their sale runs through the end of February so I decided to wait on buying anything until I could quiz a few guys here.
ECIN, my setup is very near yours. I also have a fresh water tank, but I rinse booms after each load. Product gets strained 3 times before it reaches the boom, so don't use individual nozzle screens either.

Re: Spray nozzles
98 : I went to there site and see that they offer a set of AI tips , that is why I asked which one's you were thinking about .
I'm no PRO here , this just me thinking out load again , lol But I have run the tee-jet AI nozzles for 8 yers or so , thats all I run -- unless doing Fungicide or Insecticide work , then go to the twin jet's .
I had mine tested last spring and had to replace a few from wear , but they have had a lot of acres threw them . So may have to look at the hypro's .
The big difference from this side of the river is that we -- for the most part -- never run under 15 gpa and sometimes run 20 gpa .

Re: Spray nozzles
All I've ever run are Tee-Jet's as well. I guess I'm old fashion, if it's not broke don't fix it.
