Tractor Brackets finale
We're down to the IHC Farmall Regular vs. the John Deere 4440 in the final of our first Tractor Bracket! After weeks of voting, our original bracket of 32 tractors has been whittled down to the last 2. Which machine do you want to win? Cast your vote and we'll crown a winner soon.
And, look for future installments of Tractor Brackets down the road. Let us know which machines you think should be included that weren't this first time around!

Re: Tractor Brackets finale
Can we do a write in vote or do they have to be on the ballot, Jeff?
There should have been a qualification that they have green paint and yellow wheels. Heh heh!

Re: Tractor Brackets finale
Hey, Don. If you want to write one in, we'll make sure it's included in the next go-round. We'll definitely be having another bracket, probably late summer or early fall (or maybe after harvest, depending on how it goes). And, be sure to let us know why your pick should be in the next bracket! Thanks, Don!

Re: Tractor Brackets finale
Based on the final round of the tractor bracket results. It appears that the JD fans are in the fields working...I know we are...The greatest tractor ever opinion poll has been fun to watch and participate in.
How about the next contest Greatest Ag invention/innovation or inventor: Eli Whitney-cotton gin, John Deere-plow, Cyress McCormick-mechanical reaper, list goes on and on.

That's a great idea! What other nominations out there do we have for something like the "biggest innovation in agriculture" category?

Re: Tractor Brackets finale
Its kind of a stretch to compare those two tractors. Maybe the Farmall Regular "revolutionized" farming, but the 4440 might have been the iceing on the cake. I never did put to many "hours" operating one, but I grew up in the cab of a 4440. The sound that it has when it was running is unmistakable. sine say that the 40 series was the best from John Deere. Maybe the newer ones have a few more bells and whistles, but as far as working tractor, 40 series was hard to beat.

Re: Tractor Brackets finale
Jeff you must have lost interest in this because the right tractor is not winning But we will wake up some morning and the 4440 will be crowned the winner even though it lost 2 rounds ago.
