I'm weighing the advantages and costs of flatbed transport trailers for a semi truck. The drop deck (step deck) and double drop deck trailers are cheaper. But lowboy trailers, while significantly more expensive, often have detachable hitches (goosenecks) that make loading them a breeze (no need for ramps or a loading dock). And they are built stout and can carry heavily loads. So is that worth the money. Yeah, I know, likely the answer is "what type of machinery are you hauling, how often and how far."
