Why have modern farm tractors become so complex in design?
Why is there all this "push-button stuff" in the cab nowadays that makes the tractor seem more like the cockpit of a jet plane than a humble implement for farming?
And what is with this aerodynamic streamlined bodywork of the new tractors? They look more like off-road racing buggies or sprint cars than tractors. It is not like the grandma-slow tractor needs any drag coeffficient advantage while drawing a plow.
I would prefer a more classic-looking tractor, 50's/60's style with all mechanical controls, few gauges, along with the safety and comfort of a/c, heat and ROPS.
Something like the "Kenworth W900", "Peterbilt" or "Harley-Davidson Electra Glide" of tractors.
