Wiring diagram for a 1086

I have a 1086 that lost electrical power to the dash gauges. 

Power is good at the fuses.  

Other cab power works fine.

Also part time problem with the switched power to the alternator.  Any ideas on where to look for the problems or where to find a wiring diagram for that tractor?

Are you sure it is the power, and not the ground?

Trace the wires from the cab solenoid, be sure they are good.

Does the cab fan work?  If not, check the switch, since a 1086 does not take electrical power to keep the engine running, the 'start' contacts in the switch may be fine, but the 'run' contacts may not be.   This might be where I'd start, as the dash, and the switched power wire to the alternator share that as a common connection.

the switched power to the alternator works some days and not other days.

Is there some kind of a voltage regulator for the gauges somewhere?

This tractor has the digital tack which has not worked for some time.,  now the other gauges don't work: fuel gauge, oil,tempature

The wire that goes to the alternator, goes through a resistor on its way down there.  The resistor is basically a small white ceramic part about 2-3 inches long, and maybe a half inch wide/thick with a wire connecting on each end.

As for the dash, my brother had a mouse chew through a wire on his 986.   On his, if you removed the wiring/fuse panel cover between your feet, and used a mirror to look up towards the steering column, you could see the chewed wires.  It was a nightmare to fix, as there were several wires with enough insulation chewed off, we couldn't tell what colors they were.

Could be in the key switch.
