converting machinery to LED lights

Has anyone had an experience converting older tractors, combines or sprayers to LED bulbs. First off, I know they are more expensive the old incandescent lights. Is their extra cost worth it. Also, how hard is it to put in new bulbs. Can you just plug them into existing light housings? Also do you have to do any rewiring? Thanks for the advice.

Hey! So, of course the price is higher, but you should count with all the advantages it will bring you. I switched to LEDs two year ago and can confirm that the consumption is lower) they also will last longer than for example fluorescent lights. I remember I did some counting to find out if it is profitable or not, and I understood what overpaying ones will give me better costs in long term vision) Relating the question about the conversion, well, I did not do it by myself. At the service, they told me that it is no problem to fit the LED bulbs in the old ones. I think maybe I could do it by myself, but I decided not to risk and went to https://www.litelume.com/.

I believe that the old incandescent lamps need to be replaced.

I completely agree with you; this is already quite an old technology. I have a big yard, and I have a lot of lanterns around the perimeter. All the bulbs in the lanterns are modern. I do not trust the old incandescent bulbs; they waste a huge amount of energy. Moreover, they are not safe and can cause a fire. I recently bought a new solar flag pole light. I created our family flag with my wife 2 years ago. Now, this flag hangs in my yard. When my friends come to visit, they always ask what kind of flag it is? My wife and I don't tell anyone what it means.

Re: converting machinery to LED lights

My friend has a small harvester that he uses to work in the field. And recently, he decided to try to switch to LED incandescent lamps. Of course, they are more expensive than ordinary lamps for a combine, but there are also more pluses for me. LED lamps have the same power as conventional lamps, but they last much longer. Also, LEDs are much more convenient to use. My friend said that he ordered lamps on this site, color-changing light bulbs are guaranteed for a year. So I recommend switching to LEDs.

The first thing about the price, obviously LED lamps will be much more expensive as they consume much less. Here you need to consider how long you are going to use them, in case for a short time - then you shouldn't really buy them, but if for a long time - then it is definitely better to overpay, just math. As for the installation of such lamps, firstly, they are not difficult to install, but if you are a dodik like me, then this can be done in any service, there should be no problems with the task. For example, I used explosion proof wall packs for a combine, and they fit perfectly in all parameters.

You won't be able to "just connect", it is unlikely that there'll be a suitable connector.

Re: converting machinery to LED lights

Old technology always needs to be upgraded if you are interested in its continued use. I don't think you would ask a similar question about a car. Answer yourself, would you change a broken headlight or a flat tire? Of course. Perhaps my example isn't entirely authentic, but you understand me. New lighting is something that will improve the quality of your work. I noticed this after installing the LED bulbs on my mower. Then I suddenly realized that now I can trim the grass even in the dark. An additional plus is the lighting of Vont light strips above the front door. They are quite powerful, and together with the LEDs in the mower, they create the effect of daylight 🙂
