your nuts. count seeds per ft of row. use the "test-retest"method. The more samples you take, the more reliable your approximation of hte seeding rate is.
you can easily give up yield if seed weights change.... you need to know how many seeds per ft. just that simple. screwing up can cost you money in seed as well.
