older Case tractor steering wheel
I have a case 2390 , used to be able to extend and shorten steering wheel position closer and further from driver by loosing and tightening the hub in the middle of the steering wheel. Quit working a while ago. Now out of the field for about a week and decided to fix this annoyance. Went to the Case IH dealer and reviewed assembly. Neither me nor the parts guy could figure out what I needed or how to fix. Many must have shared this problem. Thanks in advance for any help.

Re: older Case tractor steering wheel
Easy fix I have done many in my 35 years of working on case tractors. In the bottom of steering column pull pin out and lift wheel out. remove snap ring and clean keyway grooves out and replace two rubber keys on top and good to go!
