pulling air seeder with pickup

anyone pulled an air seeder without a cart with a pickup before? just wondering if it works at all.  need to pull one a few miles and would like to use it instead of a semi

As long as it has the power it should work, you wont have much tongue weight as long as the air seeder is self supporting which as far as i know most are.

i dont think the power would be the problem as much as the traction.  i was thinking of just adding weight to the pickup.  i think u are right there is very little tongue weight

I too think traction is one issue, but the most important issue is one often overlooked for convenience' sake....will your pick up be able to STOP it if needed.  The school of hard knocks is an ugly teacher here!  trust me!  use the semi, safe a life.....maybe yours!
