truck hydraulics

I have a '63 C60 grain truck that I want to use the hydraulics off for a grain auger to fill my drill. The auger is 20' long and I am wondering if the truck's hydraulics will run the auger. I'm asking now because how the hydraulics are set up on the auger will depend on whether I use the truck or use a tractor that I know would handle it. It's a 6" auger.

Re: truck hydraulics

We used a C60 six cylinder truck for that awhile back.  We only had a 4 inch brush auger and it was  approximately 15 Ft long.  Truck handled it fine with no problems.

Re: truck hydraulics

Westfield says minimum of 8 and max of 12.

Re: truck hydraulics

I don't know about c60's but I think it would have more do do with the model of the pump and the size of the resivior. Heat may be an issue if either of these are undersized.
