$10 corn, $20 soybeans
the woman in my life says to wait until April, that with the high prices of everything else, those prices for corn and beans seem reasonable.
I dunno, myself.....I know everyone needs a new pair of shoes, and I owe money, and I don't want any new 8% interest borrowings.
I sure hope she is right.

There won’t be many bushels of either left for the buyers if prices head that direction.
I guess they shouldn’t delay if their gonna need more supply. 😉

SA weather is improving as we speak and the droughty regions here seem to be improving, hard for me to see those levels in the corn belt, but who knows. Some tiles are running small amounts of water now, it's been a long time.
I will be out long before those targets, that part I do know.😀

Re: $10 corn, $20 soybeans
So far here in southern Mn, it is like last summer....futures go down, and basis goes up so the actual price doesn't go down much.
Ethanol plants are still close to $7 per bushel, and soybean processing plants $15
I dunno....maybe something is going to knock the markets down, but dollars are not the same.
Just think back to that 1995 $5 corn, and tell me how much that is in 2023 bucks

Re: $10 corn, $20 soybeans
Just read, over the weekend that argentina was importing Brazilian beans..... always sounds like when a neighbor over sells, then has a bad production year and can't deliver...... Sounds like china won't let them carry it over.
When I know grain is tight. and a tight fisted Iowa farmer holds the extra, I think it is good to hear the exports slow down....even if that means we are too expensive is the excuse..... it happens for a reason....
Great to read someone else checks what happens in basis on a down day prices go down especially on a Monday.

Unit trains are going somewhere all the way through July now......$6.95 at two places that train it west or south.
30 over bid today.
Guess they weren't successful with the down bids at shaking the corn loose.

Re: $10 corn, $20 soybeans
This lake (market) has 1 1/2" of ice, that`s not to say you can`t go out drill a hole and catch a lot of fish. But I like to do my fishing on open water 😀 Swimming in 10° weather isn`t fun. That said, someone will come out driving a Denali pulling a ice shack and be just fine .
