Re: $10 corn, $20 soybeans
Even eight years ago it was a challenge to find a real seafood meal in a eating joint.
Pizza, hamburger, and hot dogs were the easy to find items.

Hobby, Since the western world knows so little in the science and engineering of the physical world and devotes educational opportunity to political endoctrination, where will Iceland stand in the new woke world of the future?
Will they have to build a Disney World North to attract the black hoody crowd?
One of the most unspoiled geophysical natural locations in the world, can it survive without cartoon characters photo-opps?
The lowly pizza crowd probably won't afford to see it.
What do you think about the fishy story? Is he accurate or just not positioned right for the tourist dollar?

Re: $10 corn, $20 soybeans
As you know it's been awhile since I've been there. First time there I was surprised at how hard it was to find fresh seafood on a menu.
Drove by many possessing plants, cafe's and eateries in the immediate area didn't have it. Was a head scratcher.
Second time there with you we found 3. One of them only had one meals worth left, I claimed it as it was my birthday that evening.
One of the busiest food joints in the capital is a wiener stand. Not far from Harpa.
Hamburger and fries were king at that time around the island. Pizza a close second.
I as a tourist wanted some of their Atlantic fresh caught fish. Plenty of hamburger and pizza selections at home.
Guess I'm just a quarter turn off?

maybe normal........ Its like living next to the packing plant and among the feedyards, but ya want a good steak ya fix it yourself. Yet your run over with taco trailers and fast food.............. which is all about who will do the work and demographics.

Re: $10 corn, $20 soybeans
uptrend on Corn and Soybeans seems to be intact, and if this week closes with positive moves for the week I think we are going to see some much better prices in the coming months.
I swing from side to side as the news comes in, but one thing I am starting to sense is that there is really not that much corn out there that has not already been priced (old crop). New crop contracts are not yet rising all that much which I think is due to the fact that those that already sold the 2022 crop are able to sell the 2023 crop that has not yet been grown. Not making a judgement as to whether that is good or bad, but it does depress the market until it doesn't.
Not saying what this market tops out at, but if you are still in the game, maybe move your price targets up a bit, and use both a much higher target price, as well as a date to wave the white surrender flag. Last year, I did not have a good handle on how many bushels I actually had, with carry over , and lots of small bins, and my best sales came in late July and early August when one enduser called up , asked how much I could sell, and gave me the $8.25 I had told them earlier. That was the magic number last year, and my high sale. There was nothing scientific about the $8.25 either...it was just the number I needed to balance out the $5.15 forward contracted corn so that I could average $7.
