Re: $100 Oil, will corn have a "story"?

Bombing Syria right now is a good investment, before Assad turns into a hitler.  Syria ranks 66th in world oil production, so I don`t oil having anything to do with it.  If we don`t do something before it gets out of hand, then mark my words in 2021 when "president Joe Biden" takes office, one of that namby-pamby`s first order of business will be to "take in 8 million Syrian refugees"  ....that`ll cost a lot more than occasionally dropping a few missiles.  If nothing else keep the carbon burned out of the barrels and show the rest of the world who is still the boss.

It's ridiculous to think that we have "escalating tensions," there is almost nobody in the general public (or the supposedly highly educated news media) who has a clue just how large of a bombing campaign has been ongoing in that area for a long, long time.

Re: $100 Oil, will corn have a "story"?

Chillax, Hobby.  We have 100+ years of oil, 500+ years of gas, and 1000+ years of coal (that we can turn into gas if needed).  No one in the oil and gas business is talking about "Peak Oil" anymore, now they are talking about "Peak Demand", expected sometime in the 2030's at this point.  If our grandkids farm, they'll talk about how grandpa used to have to have something called "diesel" delivered to the farm in tank trucks, the way we talk about our grandparents having coal delivered to heat the house (everything will be electric in the future).  We'll still produce oil & gas, but as feedstocks to make plastics and other materials.

Re: $100 Oil, will corn have a "story"?

If you travel in different circles, right now we
Would like to see oil down to $40 a barrel.

The supporters and those involved in Syria
Main income is oil.

To keep the area ""stable"", lower oil prices are
Needed.

What it does to ethanol prices and in turn
Corn prices.

Sorry
