Re: 12.2B corn crop

don't know Your math, but the corn folks NEED a 12.2, MO.

Stupid Farmers...cannot seem to figure out that 12.2 sells in the $6.50 to $7 Plus range whereas say 14b is in the $3 range..

heck grow more pasture/hay and Golf courses....Enjoy more time golfing.

This is NOT a usa supposed mission to feed the rest of the Globe on the CHEAP.

perhaps keep in mind, E is simply a fuel Oxygenate...perhaps PRICE That Clean AIR Accordingly.

Re: 12.2B corn crop

be carefull of backyarditis MT.  Two years ago southern mn and northern iowa didn't get all their corn planted and we ended the year with a huge national crop.  Iowa and southern minnesota will yield cirlcles around Missouri any day and it didn't matter.  Unless the rain shuts off nationally there is no way we hit 12.2.

$5 corn...$12 soybeans....within 12 to 18 months

just heard a couple of experts predicting that corn usage could rebound, and with a shorter crop we could see prices also rebound in a year to 18 months to profitable levels again.

If you can build the bins, and weather the timeframe, seems like a pretty good risk/reward ratio to me if those prices come to fruition. Really cannot feel sorry for any endusers , either....everyone that uses corn is making a ton right now, and they could build the bins and guarantee themselves a cheap supply , also.

Red.....is your statement below based soley on the price of corn, or something else.....??

processing and animal agriculture are "margin businesses", and some of the margins may surprise you

ask a cattle feeder!

everyone that uses corn is making a ton right now

The end users that matter can't build that big of bins. Has to be contracts with producers and or through CBOT futures positions.

The corn that matters is planted.

Saw knee high corn in ne Kansas.

Lots of planters running the last few days, seed tenders on the move in our four hundred mile drive.

Now dead stop in se Ne, ne, Ks, southern Iowa, and most of Mo.
