Re: 175 huh.....looks like they legalized mary jane in the state of IN cause TIMES been smoking it
Well Mizzou...requesting entry to your camp. WC Indiana Corn looks phenomenal (in pockets) albeat it is 2 weeks behind. Last year we were 3 weeks behind and pulled off a decent crop due to late frost. Joined a Harley gang to ride all over the Midwest and crop tour ;-). Thank goodness gas mileage is in the high 40's for the Ultra. From West side of Ohio to West side of IL Crop looks to be developmentally in waves. A ten mile section N,S,E and W has corn waist high and deep green with no water holes. Next ten mile section, 2 weeks behind and water holes, next section just emerging. Now giving credit to IA, this is the area that makes or breaks National avgs. 175 NOT GONNA HAPPEN! We had to have avg planting to get 92 mil acres. I see Beans after Beans on more than a few fields in my backyard. I myself have 2/3's Beans, and they look Phenomenal. corn is in th (hole) rain wave of sections. So...80 acres Huh....I gotta see this. Can I witness title transfer???

Is that 175 before drying and shrink? 🙂 I have no doubt 165 isn`t probable given some of the Dakota fringe didn`t get planted. Most of the "I" states got planted okay, we`re a couple weeks behind, I states have a predicted cool wet summer, it could be a 1994 deal all over again, but this time with better genetics.
I guess this one time, I`m inclined to think that USDA isn`t screwing us. Well, I don`t know about wheat, maybe they`re off the ranch on wheat.

Time wouldn't have it any other way. Thats before shrink 23% Moisture. Sidebar.... I now have a loved one in harms way as the GHB is routed to the Persian Gulf. If this uprising is not squelched and quick the middle east is lost to our influence. Time to self sustain and close the borders! Real Poison there to mankind. And they just won't be denied! We will need every bushel of that 175 to self sustain and maintain any resemblance of lifestyle. Remains to be seen if Joe Plumber can swallow $6,7 name your Number...Gas, and not completely stall the economy.

Re: 175 huh.....looks like they legalized mary jane in the state of IN cause TIMES been smoking it
There are two counties in Maryland, that coincidentally are not too far away from the USDA DC headquarters that are the go to fields to estimate country wide yields.
Really quite an easy job to just multiply the findings there times however many millions they decide we will plant (read this as how many are needed for the continuation of a cheap food policy).
BTW more acres dinged in Iowa and Nebraska last night, more dinging on the way in the next few days. Of course we are a long way from Maryland. Iowa is numero uno and Nebraska is numero three in crop production but most acres are still as good as Maryland's right?
Edit I hate this tablet changing my words.
