Re: 200,000 per tax payer......

I assume his claim is that the national debt is 200,000 per taxpayer but his post did not state that.

2ndly the assertian is wrong in that he is dividing it among existing taxpayers. Evidently he doesn't think there will be any taxpayers behind us. Therefore there may be 5 t0 10 times as many more taxpayers involved. Plus the tax avoiders might be reequired to pay.

Plus one might even consider that we pay workers enough to make them subject to taxes. As it is business does not want to pay taxes and they choose not to pay labor enough that they have to pay taxes. They expect the impossible. They don't want to pay taxes themselves and they don't want to pay labor but expect workers to buy their products and pay the taxes.

As long as you guys favor the businesses and the wealthy this situation will worsen. You are reaping the crop you are sewing.

Re: 200,000 per tax payer......

When I was in high school, I remember our Government teacher telling us, by the time we graduated, the debt would be somewhere between $40K & $50K for each of us to pay back with our taxes.

Now, it is $200K.

It seems to me, that as time goes by, we are sure asking an awful lot, of future taxpayers.

Re: 200,000 per tax payer......

what was the cost of the Bush tax cuts over 11 years?

"[The Second Amendment] has been the subject of one of the greatest pieces of fraud, I repeat the word 'fraud,' on the American public by special interest groups that I have ever seen in my lifetime."
--- Former Chief Justice Warren Burger, The MacNeil/Lehrer NewsHour, December 16, 1991

They did not 'cost'.  Tax receipts increased after the rate cuts.  Tax collections and tax rates are not a linear equation.

are you nuts........

"no tax payers behind us"

how far you going to kick that can...................

o and by the way.................DO YOU THINK IT STOPPED TODAY.................SORRY BUT ITS GROWING FASTER THAN WE ARE MAKING JOBS.........WHICH MEANS ITS GETTING WORSE..........REMEMBER, JUST BECAUSE THE POPULATION GROWS DOESNT MEAN THE ACTIVE TAX BASE DOES...........

AND HERES AN EVEN BETTER WAY TO LOOK AT IT............ONLY ABOUT 1/2 OF AMERICANS PAY TAXES ANYWAY.............SO TECHINCALLY ITS $400,000 PER "ACTIVE" TAX PAYER..........

AND BEFORE YOU BLAST ME.............HERE IS A SIMPLE PLAN TO RIGHT THE SHIP..........

1.  GOVERNMENT IS RUN LIKE A TRUE NOT FOR PROFIT.........NO ONE GETS PAID OR GETS BENEFITS TILL ALL THE OTHER BILLS ARE TAKEN CARE OF.......

2.  YOU GET UNEMPLOYMENT BENEFITS FOR 1.5 YEARS...........AFTER THAT YOU HAVE A CHOICE.........STOP TAKING BENEFITS OR ENLIST WITH THE SERVICE OR GUARD..........WE ARE PAYING PEOPLE TO SET ON THEIR DUFF, MIGHT AS WELL TRAIN EM AND WORK EM.........

3.  ILLEGALS IN THIS COUNTRY HAVE A CHOICE............ENLIST IN THE SERVICE AND SERVE 4 YEARS, THEN FILE THE PROPER PAPERWORK AS A CITIZEN AND START PAYING TAXES............OR...........LEAVE NOW.........

4.  MOVE TO A CONSUMPTION TAX...........THAT WAY EVERYONE PAYS INTO THE SYSTEM INSTEAD OF...........HALF OF AMERICAN PAYING INTO A SYSTEM THAT THE OTHER HALF ABUSES.........

5.  FOOD STAMPS CAN ONLY BE USED FOR MRE'S..........

6.  EYE FOR AN EYE..........

Re: 200,000 per tax payer......

I wake up every morning thankful for what I have and what I produce. I could care less if someone is living off of the money I give the government. Does not bother me one inch!!! I am secure with myself that those things do not bother my life. What bothers me is the wars that we simply throw away lives and money. That is ridiculous.

Re: are you nuts........

hey mizzou, I agree with your plan, of course it will never fiy , its not "politicly correct". It realy gripes me when I am in grocery store and see someone buying things with food stamps that I dont have the money to buy and I am working Six days a week to keep food and house for family, then putting them in their cadillac.

Kraft is right..

to just say 200,00 per taxpayer means nothing.  200,000 what??  virgins?  bushels?  or what?  I guess we all assumed the 200,000 per taxpayer refers to $$$ of debt, but that was not stated.  Maybe it is the cost of the current pres campaign?  But assuming it is debt, again, how much of that was just from the last 3 years?  I

That's my point.......WE THE PEOPLE.......ring a bell.......WE SHOULD NOT AND DO NOT WORK FOR THE GOVERNMENT............THE GOVERNMENT WORKS FOR US..........

The minute you give up fighting is one more second closer to communist socialism.......

In many ways the government has crossed the very lines and people it was set in place to protect.......
