Two takeaways- if "the smartest guys around" -who also incidentally probably have more insider info than you or I do- can't make money in this market that should tell you something.
The other- expect a constant dripping away of redemptions to all sorts of hot money investments which means that the current of inflows that was with the risk trade in 2006-08 has turned against it.
And I predict will turn into a torrent at some point regardless of brief and fierce rallies spurred by central bank interventions that will try to stem the tide.
