Re: 2019 flood

Missouri is experiencing a flood comparable to the ‘93 flood.  This is the Grand River north of the Missouri River approx. 10 miles right in the center of the state.  This particular levee is a Corps levee and is 10 miles long.  I’m not sure that there are any levees yet that have not been breached along the rivers  in north Missouri.  The Grand dumps into the Missouri River at the town of Brunswick which has been decimated by flood waters

Re: 2019 flood

There are snarky comments about a state suing another state that should not come from the state of Ks.

And there is that idea that farming con men are treated like celebrities on talk shows, write advice columns, and publish farm advice without ever planting an acre.  Write monthly guesses as to the size of acres and crops..............the only thing wrong with the big picture is those who produce crops have absolutely no job security and the con men have nothing to loose, whether they live in Des Moines, Chicago, of DC (and now I guess the corruption has spread to KC.

It is just a bad deal......... Consider......... What if we have tweaked the crop production machine to top proformance.  Installed irrigation where it is dry and water diversion where its too wet.  Developed equipment that is second to none(and made it idiot proof).  When the engine blows, rod goes through the block,  Levies that take decades to build give out, aquifers dry up, ....simply it rains too much or to little excessively, stays cool or too hot too long,  we have protected ourselves against the little issues but the big ones we are not prepared for.  We are loosing roads, dams, levies, ........infristructure that we have depended on since we actually had hand labor in the US.  Built in our grandfathers days.

It took three years to recover from the 2011-2 drought event (according to futures prices).  How long will it take to rebuild production this time......... ??  You can't rely on any answers from usda(the source), yet that monkey is on our back and growing --- now we will see if that monkey can do some work.

Re: 2019 flood

Flood causes a devasting effect on the property. Furniture, electronic appliances, carpets, and other valuables get soaked in the water. Filthy water gets sipped into the wall, basement, and other valuables. The worse is when it causes structural damage to the building. If you are in a devastating situation like a flood you can call them at https://www.ssrestore.com/water-damage-restoration-carlsbad/ So, it is better to get emergency water damage services from experts. Call water experts to inspect your property and evaluate the damages before taking restoration services.
