Re: Faust100..........
No Tiger, I don't have alzheimer's disease, but I am worried that I may have erectile dysfunction and am thinking of trying Viagra. I know you use Viagra too and is using Viagra helping you? Please let me know how it is working for you? Thank you!!!!
Look, we are all on here to try and learn new things and part of that is to read about what other posters have to say and there opinions. I mean our goal here is to try and improve each one of our farm operations Return on Investment Ratio. This Ratio is telling us how good of job we are doing in being farm managers. And yes, I know I am just a numbers guy, but I use the ROI figure to tell me how good of a job I am doing in running my farm operation. Yes, numbers are not the whole ballgame here, but numbers are just my style so I have a something to compare on a year to year basis.so I can compare how I am doing. Sorry, but I enjoy numbers and they are a very useful tool for me. Everyone is different, but for me, using the different ROI figures to see how well I am doing is just my style is all. Everyone is different and it would be a very boring world if everyone is the same.

Re: $500 cash rents?
Well bronzebacks, it seems to appear that you know about Northern Franklin county in Iowa and that is where I own farmland, along with Cerro Gordo countty. You know that Northern Franklin County Iowa can/did do a 185bu corn yield for the 2012 crop year. And also in a normal non-drought year that Northern Franklin county years that this quality of Iowa farmland there is fully capable of a 220bu corn yield. I am curious that you mentioned that you may know who I am, how come you feel that you know me? If you know who I am, then you do know that I own 1,500 acres of Iowa farmland then. Can I ask where you live in Iowa? Just say what county you live in Iowa and I would also like to know how much Iowa farmland you own and the totalacres that you farm. Thank you.

Re: TIGER..........
Tiger- on your questions, yes I sold some corn for over $8, that was really nice. As to your other questions, all I am is a Iowa farmland investor that Custon Farms my own farmland. And as I mentioned, I paid my Custom Farming guys around $236,000 for there labor, equipment, and fuel. Just because I Custom Farm does not mean I don't know jack about farming, I buy and pay for all my inputs and also market all my crop. All I don't do is runing the equipment and the labor, other than that, I do what everyone else does. That should answer your questions, I am just an Iowa farmowner that Custon Farms.

And to all you other guys, as mentioned, I am just an Iowa farmland investor that Custom farms his own dirt. Also Faust100 and I have known each other for years and have had many, many, discussions on farmland and it's trends over the years. I know farmland very well and Faust will tell you this too. I feel I have alot to add to these discussions if you give me a chance to add in my 2 cents worth. Thank you.

Re: $500 cash rents?
Younsaid you owned 2300 acres over on AgWeb. What happened to the other 800 acres. I know you dod have a problem with your farm moving around, sometimes moving over a county or two. Maybe some of it floated down the river with all of that hog manure?
Oh I know, the credit card people had to repo some of it.

Re: Faust100..........
RSW - I signed on one morning and it said I was banned, I wrote a response so every one could read it when I returned to this site, since it was the first site I was ever on. I have returned to it from time to time over the years to stir the pot. Being banned at ag-web was probably the best thing that has happend for me. It was a tired site, after 10,000 posts I was getting tired of the lack of imagination or interest by posters there.
I just got caught up in the controversy where I supported a posters right to not have their personal lives invaded, (and you were one of them) and I am not one to question a persons assertion of the amount of land they own or what they do in their private lives. OBG was very knowledgeable in a lot of areas, and helped foster debate on various issues he felt strongly about. Db had slacked off on frequenting the site, as did Verb and ECI.
I was against them banning nodaddy, and glowplug. I think it should be a religious site since they censor letters from words, they ban historical discussion of the Nazi/s, so I must assume they are owned by jews from New York.
It was getting more and more difficult for me to have fun on the site, making little movies was fun and took a lot of time, as did the amount of reading I was doing in order to bring something worth discussing to the site. Then we had the "corn college crap", and the misleading positions taken by Pro Farmer on markets and their 30 ft. rope trick to determine yields.
I am happy here, I can post my little posts, reside in my small cyber world, and from time to time take an adversarial position regarding issues. Thse sites exist for three reasons as far as I am concerned; to have fun, learn something, and to argue positions you feel strongly about. If everyone thought alike, like they now do on Ag-Web or the character on here that could only talk about the streets of Woden Iowa being filled with corn, it gets pretty dull fast.
There are diverse interests, a few personal attacks, but nothing like what was happening on Ag-Web, here. Most people do not agree and that makes this a healthy site to be on. The format was a bit better at Ag-Web I thought, until Hobby told me what buttons to push here to be able to read all the posts on this site. I am still getting familiar with the tools here. But you know . . . I like it here. People have choices, if they like the issues I post and want to argue their beliefs, then that is what this is all about to me, if they do not like what I post they can put me on ignore, and that is all right also.
I support anyones right to express themselves, I believe when anyone reveals personal or business information, I choose to believe them. To be honest, I do not care if people are not what they say or want to be batman on here, if that is what they want to do, and as long as there are benefits in their posts for me.
But, to be honest . . . it is nice here, many of the old posters that abandoned Ag-Web chose this site, I feel comfortable here. I do stur the pot, I do take radical positons, and there is always two sides to every issue raised here, like the firearm controversy thread happening right now.
So I do not know why I was banned other than what was revealed to me after I arrived here, and that was discussing options to fend off someone harrassing and stalking your family. I made a few suggestions to wit: Call the FBI, Drop them in a well in Southern Iowa, or put $5000 in an envelope with a picture and address and drop it in a slot in a door in Baton Rouge and your problems would go away.
Obviously, that "shocked the conscience" of the girls who run the show in Mexico Missouri. But . . . that is mainly what Ag-Web is anyway, ran by Sarah, Anna and before them Greg who moved on, and was a pretty level headed fella, who understood the sparring that goes on between posters..
There were other remedies suggested regarding your stalking situation but I think it was one of these that got me banned, and you know . . . it did not bother me at all . . . because most of the fellas over there that I had started out with had already departed, and at times there was the only three or four voices singing in the Chior.
Sooooo . . . this is a good place, much more peaceful than the War Zone that was Ag-Web. I just got tired of their marketing advice, their Pro Farmer advice, their TV shows and the solution to every thing in farming was "digging a root pit". I am out and it is a blessing for me. Adios Amigo. John

Re: Faust100..........
Say Faust, an excellent post on what happened at AGWEB to you. And it all really started with Ghost Ryder making late night phone calls to my Brother-in-Law and harrassing him, along with him harrassing my 18 year old daughter on Facebook about the college Trust Accounts I set up to help pay for her nursing school. I still can not believe Ghost Ryder harrassed my imeditate family. Anyway, I will continue keeping you informed about Farmland values and any trends I see coming. I really enjoy talking about Farmland values with you since we both bought land after the farm crisis. And yes, AGWEB was getting a little tiring, then with Ghost harrassing my family, well, that is pushing the limits I would say.Yes, I would say things worked out better with both of us leaving AGWEB. i still see some guys on here are not happy I am posting on here, but after awhile perhaps they will realize I do have good number/ROI Ratios to add. Afterall, the goal to being on here is to increase our knowledge and hopefully increase our farm operations Return on Investment Ratios.Well, time will tell, but at least it shouldn't be boring!!!!!!! LOL
