Re: Damage Done in June

I don’t think the ridge is coming back as it was, but enough to be somewhat problematic.

And N Plains/Canadian Prairie will become a bigger deal.

Re: A 190 yield is a real possibility now

A prediction of a repeat weather problem year for SA again next crop cycle and a rain miss for much o the parched areas in drought mode today has the market not acting like a 190 bu crop is out there.

What goes up will come down......... even a trend line.  The demand for helium at usda is an upward trendline as well.

Re: A 190 yield is a real possibility now

Looking at the corn here on the Michigan/Indiana line you would think a 190 bu national average corn yield is very possible. Soybeans have a ways to go yet, some fields are getting weedy with all the rain and few suitable days for spraying. The winter wheat crop here looked good for a time, but few suitable days for harvest work has the wheat crop looking pretty tough.

Re: A 190 yield is a real possibility now

Checking some local swks corn this morning...... I saw fields that will not be taken for grain already.... a couple that missed the first irrigation cycle in June and are declining.  From the arctic blast of February to the heat of 107 in the Canadian rockies this may average out but will not be remembered as an average year.
