That gauge only goes to 1", you got some that go to 5 or 6 inches.

Sorry but that gauge goes to at least 10 inches, maybe 12.
See the big outside part?
At one inch it begins to fill the outside part.
All Cocorahs reporters use this gauge.
They are about $35 + shipping.
I'm not a Cocorahs reporter, just really like the gauge.

Chicago doesn't care about what is, Chicago cares about what might be.

Re: And this is what we base our livelyhood on ?
Funny thing about my connection to that rain gauge:
In 1976 at the MN State Fair FFA Barnyard we had a "snowstorm" to promote our members usage of
these same rain gauges to report precip totals from around the state.
Our Executive Secretary (W.J. Kortesmaki) had the St. Paul fire department set up their foam machine
and they flooded the courtyard with the stuff.
Guess who was dressed as Santa running thru the "snow" waving a rain gauge and yelling HO-HO-HO!!
Kort was quite a character and we had alot of fun with that guy.
