Time . . . basis for July 17 hrw is 88 under right now in Central Kansas. That puts cash at $3.94 a bushel for harvest 2017 delivery. Better than current bid of $3.03 (which is up from sub $3.00 range last week). I know I know we should have farm storage and lock in your aforementioned $5.17 board price and take advantage of a hopefully narrowing basis into December but without the ability to deliver directly against that board contract we are at the mercy of the basis.
