I'm going short on this report on Thursday, so I recommend you go long.  My rationale is that this report will bring us a big surprise.  Everyone is thinking record size.  I am going the obvious and bound to  get killed.

Yes, I sold a very small amount of corn (15,000bu) 5 minutes ago for $7.60. Not the $8 I got months ago, but I feel $7.60 is a good sale. Believe my sale was a good business practice before the report..

Corn is only $7.00 here in Michigan,basis is -.25

To a local elevator, right now they have the best basis level, better than one of the local ethanol plants, which is very odd. Below is the basis level for 1 ethanol plant, they really, really, dropped the levels from just last week as you can see below. Only 20 cents over Chicago, believe last week it was 40 cents over Chicago for April.
