Re: China is almost beside the point. And to make matters worse, recession.

The point I was trying to make was that 84 million acres of beans are as bad or worse than 96 million acres of corn.  Everybody is all upset about the 96 million acres of corn but 84 million acres of beans is just as bad, China or no China.

And to make matters worse, economists are predicting a 14% drop in GDP.  14%, let that soak in.

The simple fact is, we need to begin to prepare ourselves for the very prospect of selling our production for much lower prices.  The sooner we accept that and begin to take precautions the better off we'll be.

No doubt about that. many hair stylists, airlines, travel, restaurants, people`s jobs that there was no explanation for but made 6 figures won`t come out of the other side of this.  We have a service based economy and if enough paychecks are missed, vacations will be skipped, mom will put a bowl on the kid`s head for haircuts, another year will be squeezed out of the 3yr old Subaru.  We will have a recession, that`s a pretty easy prediction.  And farming will be tough, the rest of the world may not be increasing their protein consumption as once projected (more noodles than hamburger in the Hamburger Helper).

Probably put off on the new equipment purchases, plant more Epleys than DeKalb, skimp on fertilizer, pass on that sweet $325/rent on a new 800 acre opportunity.   Hunker down!

Ironically impeachment  will now be the shadowed highlight of this guys legacy.  Lowest gdp lowest stock market and highest unemployment numbers in American history.  This is what most people were worried about if something actually happened could this con artist lead the entire country through to resolve.  After riding the Obama market train up until now we will see his big recovery plan.  Or maybe not.  Unfortunately for most 99%.  This should result in a huuuge wake up call for not just Americans but all voters on their leadership around the world.  Throughout history it’s always been about how you persevere through these times that people will judge in the future.

Elections have consequences - just that the 2016 election was built on lies - we elected someone that never should have made it through our vetting system.  The system failed.  This administration is a failure, and will go down in history just that way...

Re: As if things weren't bad enough, ...soybean carryout.

BA you can not possibly be so foolish as to think that Mexicans are unable to climb a 30 foot ladder.  Are you? That's all it takes to get over your stupid wall. Even the Republican's favorite president Ronald  knew the Berlin Wall was bad. So, why build one here?

Poppy, the Berlin wall was a great success, as far as i know, no West Germans made it into East Germany Smiley Happy

Or perhaps Germans can`t operate extension ladders?
