I believe this will be a bigger story than you realize...now, one of our larger importers, now co-own a farmer cooperative/buying/shipping
business....they will be working with the local St. Louis office in purchases....
some interesting questions...since they are now in partnership, if China buys grain, will it be reported as sold to china, and be added
to export numbers..same with corn and beans....
also, we will not know who we are doing business with, the elevator, china, etc....
how will this distort our market ? you know how our markets are moved about export sales announcments, or the "demand"...
now, since they will be part of an american company/cooperative, those numbers will not be reported.....and thusly total exports
would be LOWER....how will this impact our "supply/demand focused market".....
since, they bought it from "growers", will they be require to report their purchase.....
if farm bureau was looking out for farmers.....they should have been on this like ugly on an ape.
guess BA was too busy worried about a past president, than doing his job

Seems to be the latest fad - hogs, seed, exports - step right up & join the parade : although there seemed to be some folks in SW Kansas that were working on trade with our neighbors on the southern border ---

Who was in charge when Smithfield sold out?
Who was president when Monsatin announced the buy out to a foreign entity?
Personally I think maybe them having an interest in a sourcing entity will help exports from here.
Why not work half as hard with your farming profitability as trashing the conservatives amongst us?
Who was in charge of congress and president when Gavilon sold out to a Japenese co? They were something like #8 in size at the time?
Did I miss the fit you threw when the "fix it again Tony" Italian outfits took over Chrysler?
I don't remember a peep from Cuba Kansas area.

The story says it`s a "partnership" where China owns along with Growmark the transportation system. In a perfect world, this would not need to happen, however we need infrastructure investment and if the Chinese are willing to step up to the plate with capital, is this a bad thing? See, if China pours money into barges and railroads in this country, they won`t be so inclined to buy from Brazil. It`s not at all like moving US factories to China, it`s Chinese money INVESTING HERE, I have a hard time seeing this as a completely bad thing.

Have you trained well....oh it's all good...did you
Notice they bought in to the marketing division.
Hobby....you are exactly right, our farm organizations
And congress members just sat on their hands
You know hobby, that the same question could be
Ask why are those that support the person that
Are in the white house keep blaming everyone
But trump for everything.
I don't know hobby, I don't know what else I could
Do to manage everything better, with basis a dollar
Or better, everything drying up, around here they
Have been chopping corn for a long time, pastures
Brown, ponds dry guys hauling water, some having
Not enough moisture to bring up the volunteer
Wheat...not to mention the poor wheat harvest
And just about every grain under the cost of
Production..,..no hobby, I don't have any other
Idea what else I can do to make things better.
Maybe I should learn from the master, trump,
Blame everyone and everything else on someone
Else, other than me.
