Brazil closes its largest ethanol plant

Raizen, the largest company producing ethanol and sugarcane in Brazil, announced today that they will suspend production in their biggest mill in the country in Bom Retiro, São Paulo, for the next two years. The company said that there scarcity of cane stemming from the 2014 drought in the state of São Paulo, which has an ongoing water crisis. Raízen has other 23 ethanol mills in Brazil. Therefore, there will be less ethanol output from here in the next two years.

I would have to assume this signal further exports of ethanol from the US?

are gonna produce that supposed record bean crop too.  MO.


BR is best to just import E from the usa when things is dry there.


( as far as where we are all gonna find coffee...hmmmm )
