Brome grass info!
Do any of you guys live where,or in close proximity where brome grass is produced for seed. And if so,is the production down from the norm? Comments please,if you know!
Re: Brome grass info!
I don't know about yield, but the acres for seed sure seem to be less, at least around here. Brome is an excellent crop for the 'dry' areas in my area. Milo is another good choice, and soybeans are usually OK. However, with the insurance guarantee in Soybeans in the 'teens', and Milo chasing corn prices (way up, but not sure exactly where they are), brome seedings are on the way down. An established plot may or may not be torn up, but I have heard of exactly zero people seeding any new plots.
