But hey, the calendar changed........
........but the rain did not. After a couple of smaller rains and a couple of days of no rain, some guys were just getting started with some field work in June. However last night I received 1.4 - 3.2 " of rain over all of my farms. Some spots to the east of me received up to 6". It looks like our planting window is almost completely closed.

Re: But hey, the calendar changed........
Where do you live? ALL of our levees up and down rivers and creeks all through Missouri are breached with most all of them blown out. 400 roads closed in Missouri this morning. I have 1,550 acres with anywhere from 0-8 ft of water over it. It will be days and even weeks before we can even get out there to assess damages on most of these fields. Looks like my acres are cut 75% without more rain. Leaves me 600 acres of hills to farm. Lost 420 acres planted corn of our planted 515 total. Going to be a small harvest. Some guys here desperately trying to work ground on hills but it’s MUUUDDY!

Re: But hey, the calendar changed........
Just now I looked at the forum calendar and realised how stupid I was for not noticing the dating... It's a weakness of mine, although I always keep my own calendar for precipitation and frost. Today I was surprised at how the google calendar in which I mark sunrise and sunset and keep track of it to water my sprouts failed me.

They just took to the ground and lo and behold, it didn't help. I keep track of sunrise and sunset on another site, google got it all mixed up. But I think a lot of people translate the time and hence the confusion.

Re: But hey, the calendar changed........
A flood hit my father’s estate in Missouri in 2019. After that, my father sold his organic farm for a penny because we had no money left. He misses his farm very much, and my brother and I want to give him a gift for his anniversary in October. We bought his old holdings and fixed up the farm. My youngest daughter will give him a printable October 2022 calendar, https://ww.123calendars.com/october-calendar.html. There will mark his birthday, and the background image of this calendar will be a photo of his favorite farm.
