Re: Can't find any reason
That's good, something to be proud of. Then help your neighbors and other American workers and support policies that help themn get a bigger slice of the American dream.
Did you know that for several years under obama, half of each year's college graduating class in America could not get jobs upon graduation ? That was the worst performance it ever has been. Not all obama's fault as the economy sucked when he came to office, and the kids are not scot-free of blame either as many studied majors that just are not in demand anymore in the US economy. But the biggest factor is that the middle management jobs that college educated kids with liberal arts degrees used to be groomed to fill no longer exist, as the workers the middle managers supervised now reside in Asia and other low wage countries around the globe. How do we keep the American dream alive if we cannot employ our college graduates when they finish their studies ?
America's economy for the last hundred years and certainly since the end of WWII has been characterized by cars and houses. If young people cannot afford to buy either, it jams up the businesses of both industries. Think about all the parts that go into cars and all the furnishings and materials that go into houses. If there is not a new group to buy what the older among us no longer need, how is the economy ever going to be able to grow ? It can't. This is the most insidious aspect of globalism and free trade, it robs the future from our kids. And it must be stopped lest America is to be turned into a third world country.
Those are the policies Trump is trying to implement, yet half the country would rather chastise and berate him over lies about his alleged allegiances to Russia. There's an irony to all this...the same people who scream Russia, Russia, Russia were the ones who supported movements like the nuclear freeze in the early '80s, the peace dividend of the '90s and the meme about "Ray Gun Ronnie" throughout Reagan's Presidency. They were the first ones to yell about the charges against Clinton were "just about sex", yet they believe a porn stars accusations of screwing Trump in an effort to defame the man., Its this kind of inconsistency of thought, this kind of mentality that supports only the laws they agree with, that tears at the fabric of a great country whose ultimate claim of legitimacy is being a nation of laws. Its completely maddening, and doing more harm to the future of America than any terrorist group could ever dream of pulling off.
Anyway, enough about politics, this is supposed to be a forum about farming and agriculture...

Re: Can't find any reason
Its not my issue, its your issue.
My issue was that during the years of the obama administration, for the first time in recent history, half the students who were graduating college could not find jobs upon graduation. And a large reason for that is many of the jobs that used to be the domain of recent college grads were no longer available in the States since they were middle management jobs. There's no need for middle management when companies have exported low wage countries all the positions the middle manager used to supervise.
With your alleged concern about those American students who do not get college degrees, you more than most people should be especially angry at the loss of manufacturing jobs in this country. There was a time not all that long ago when a student coming out of high school could have a very nice career working in one of America's factories. That is not so anymore, since millions of factory jobs have been sent to low wage countries. If you really cared about those kids that no longer can find work due to the free trade myth your politicians have force fed you, then you would agree with Trump that tariffs are needed to get those jobs back into American factories.
Now is that too much for your mind to handle, or are you just a parrot of some ignorant left wing politician ?

Trump shirts were made in China, Bangladesh, Honduras and Vietnam.
Trump eyeglasses are made in China.
Trump suits made in Mexico.
Shall I continue?

Re: Can't find any reason
That's exactly why he's the best guy to stop the madness, he knows how the game is played by companies willing to injure their American workers for the benefit of the few dollars they save by having their products made in low wage countries.
I give him credit for being the first President in years who is willing to put the American government in the corner of the American worker. Once the tariffs are in place, my bet is those shirts, eyeglasses and suits will be made in US factories very soon.

Re: Can't find any reason
If you read past my first sentence, you will find I wrote that all of Trump's products probably will be made in the US once these tariffs and the new NAFTA agreement with Mexico go into effect.
Americans should be cheering about this turn of trade events. For many years now America has not had enough factories to produce the armaments that it needed in WWII. You have Rust Belt cities that are ghost towns because all the factories shut down. You have chronic unemployment in numerous cities, where crime is now the major industry. You've shipped trillions of dollars of American household wealth to another country or countries, enriching them at your expense. You have hordes of invaders coming into your country illegally, who depress the wages of the relatively few jobs left for kids with just high school educations so that they will never share in any kind of American dream.
Now a guy comes into a powerful office who knows how and wants to change this disastrous situation, and you give him a hard time. What the f*ck is wrong with the American people, do you really enjoy getting boned in the butt all your lives by politicians that need your votes but serve your business masters ?
