Chinese wheat problems worse than initial estimates

China was assumed to have lost 10 million tons due to rain, however frost is now mentioned in the equation and the amount of wheat lost to damage is now considered to be @ 20 million tns.

China may surpass Egypt as the world's largest wheat importer this year. It's already contracting for quality Australian milling wheat which will create some competition with the Middle East and SE Asia.

ECIN is like a bull. You've got to keep him feed everyday or he wanders off elsewhere. ROTF

Jen, you have to admit, that was just a little funny. LOL

Re: Chinese wheat problems worse than initial estimates

Fortunately China's wheat is grown over a pretty wide area, unlikley there was  mass frost killed wheat. Wheat is a grass and mostly can take a beating from many things.

We all have differnt minds, just mine, world ES/ use gets better, the few yrs of high wheat prices incites expanding planting and production. More than corn or beans, grwoing areas are disperse, reducing risks.

2.5 yr bear mkt and counting,  economics driving.

SRW crop, who will store it ?
