Corn at $4 now

Only 60cents off the high locally. We didn't get above $5 like you guys this spring, so the basis destroyed 20% of the acreage here. Hopefully we can get to 4.50 and I will bring a little in this fall if it ever gets to 30%. With nobody in the fields and high moisture I might just see a runaway basis.

Somebody is gonna post about $2 corn now. What a world of difference we are in.

Let's not forget that the Canadian dollar is at it's lowest level in five and a half years. You need to subtract at least 52 cents off your price of $4 to equalize the currency, then compare.

Looks like the canadian dollar is gonna tank hard and so is crude oil... Cheap fuel and better basis for all!

I'm not sure nab, but I don't think input pricing much different south of us. The only thing I don't want to do is buy us equipment or products. Time for hoarding cash... That's the only thing that makes $$$ in this Coming deflationary period.

Kinda bad for a guy from Alberta but I kinda hope oil tanks like it did for a time in 2006. I could handle buying a cat and hoe for half price.
