Something about that big corn crop in Brazil.........

here is a little perspective.

Brazil is right close to 100MMT for this year. That is a big jump from 75 and it will go somewhere. Not sure it matters as long as we can keep the heat sliding to the east :-)

It's getting pretty rough out west. 100 most every day now.

The world might just need corn from other places.

Re: Corn from anywhere else.

And around 100 forecast for the next two weeks. Any idea how many of the extra million acres of corn in the last USDA report were in Kansas? A lot of acres that would have been milo were switched to corn to avoid sugar cane aphids. At least you could spray for aphids, a lot of extra acres of dryland corn that might not make much.

Re: Corn from anywhere else.

North of Wichita just about all the dryland corn is in beans this year.  Very little milo. Irrigated is 50/50.

And the dryland beans really need a drink.

Re: Corn from anywhere else.

So your saying if we got all the extra 25 mmt from them it would replace 7% or 1/15th of our projected crop
Or we're ok until we go below 14 billion bu??
