Re: Corn-- where are we going?

Only through Agricorp. We can do absolutely stupid things like break sod and plant. Or plant beans on June 20 and be eligible for full cover.

I figured how to post photos from iPhone. I'll put em up tonight! I'm outside moving snow freezing r now

Us guys on the fringe can do all the planning we want -------- but we do what we get the opportunity to do, when we get the opportunity to do it.

Re: Corn-- where are we going?

Yes they will ------ but they have to compete with wheat. -------- not sure they like the heat as well either -------- a little out of my experience limits.

The usda program once gave us an opportunity to plant a crop without a history and I chose barley over oats.  I had a better market .

So I'm not sure ......

Re: Corn-- where are we going?

why are you guys concerned about insurance? do you not think that I will get this stuff harvested? It seems round here everyone looks at unharvested corn fields this winter like snow: it should be there. I guess I dont have deer around? Or your stalks weaken in the heat? what am i missing. IN THE PICTURE: the outside headlands are completely submerged. they are not one bit harvested: do not believe that for  a second.

I included pictures of a square baler that had a snow loaded building fall on it. I used it to bale small squares of wheat, which was a lucrative scheme for a while. Now I am too big to do that timely, and I was going to go get it to sell it, only to find out that it has now been severely damaged vis a vis a building falling on it. The insurance is for more than I paid for it, and by looking at tractorhouse listings, it is likely I will get more than I paid.

also, the pics I uploaded are from an iphone. if jeff or somebody could get a.com out of the god **bleep** stoneage, we might make some progress. I am really upset with uploading photos from a digital camera and from an iphone. nothing works ever.
