The monoculture of nothing but soys year after year is finally catching up to them. The insect problem keeps getting worse down there also that will be next.

Is this form of fallowing just a matter of not growing soybeans off season and growing a non-host crop (like corn) or is it actual resting the ground with no crop? I'm assumimng a nonhost crops is raised and an effort to keep volunteer soy under control.

So is their cost of production rising above ours in the US?   Perhaps they won't be exporting them cheaper than the US in a couple of years.

Transportation costs in Brazil are four times higher then in the the US and rising...
