It  would  be  interesting   to  see  the  response  of  folks  this  day  and  age ,   reaction  of  war  stamps  for  say  fuel  and  material  items .  Our  ancestors  description  of  the  depression  era,  followed  by  WW II is  unthinkable.

It went to the present equivalent of $6.25 in 2008 and the world did not come to an end.

It did almost come to an end because of dodgy WS paper, but that's another matter.
